Temperament: Bright, quick, busy. Very little stillness in her.

Good with other residents: Yes, enthusiastically.

Requirements: A lively room. She does badly somewhere quiet.

Hook: “A seven-year-old carried her half a mile to hand her in.”

A child on Chincoteague carried Pixie the best part of half a mile to hand her over, and then asked a lot of questions about what would happen to her next. She is bright and busy and there is almost no stillness in her at all. She wants a lively room — a kitchen, a playroom, somewhere with noise. Put her somewhere quiet and you’ll both find it frustrating.
